Getting interview after rejection..is it a good thing?

I didn't get accepted the first go around, yet the schools that interviewed me the first time want to interview me again? Is this a good sign?

i think it's a great thing! i have a friend who interviewed a few places 2 years ago and didn't get in. she's now an MS1 at one of those schools-- she was invited for an interview the following year, went, and was accepted w/out being put on a waitlist.
