Hi everybody, I am curious whether anyone received interview invitations after only sending their AADSAS application and DAT scores, but b4 actually sending out their recommendation letters. Will schools actually interview you if they havn't received any recommendation letters yet? I am sending my application in July 22, but won't get all my recommendation letters until October. Will this hurt my chances of getting an early interview, or will they base interview invites mainly on GPA/DAT stats, and then wait for the letters whenever they come in. My science GPA is 3.85 DAT: 21AA 20TS 21 PAT. Thank you for your help.

When I applied last year, UOP had called me (late Sept) for an interview even though only 2 of my LORs had arrived. They said I would need to get the 3rd letter in before my interview date (early Nov).

I think it may depend on the school, but you don't really have a choice in your situation. I would recommend sending your LORs directly to the schools when you get them instead of through AADSAS. Otherwise, it'll take forever.

I'm in the same boat you were previously - two of my recommendations will b submitted at the end of july; however, the last one will be in october/november. So you think that I can still get an interview invite w/o that 3rd LOR? Btw, did you submit that final LOR by your interview date at UofP?

It's possible, but maybe UOP didn't care as much about the content of the LOR. UCSF on the otherhand didn't call me until Feb for an interview.

UOP stated that I had to get the 3rd letter to them or else I would have to give up my interview spot. I ended up faxing the LOR to UOP as soon as I got it, which was maybe a four weeks before my interview.

I received interview invitation from BU even though the 3rd LOR never made it.
I am not sure if they eventually required the 3rd letter or not because I never went for the interview.
But from what I understand most schools don't review your app unless they received all the LOR.

Likely depends on the school. Your numbers are good, but there are some schools, such as UNC, that won't even consider you for an interview until they hae all of the recommendation letters in, including one from a dentist.

I received an interview at Tufts before I had gotten all of my recommendations, so I got it all together, but once I got there, I found out none of them had arrived yet anyway. So apparently they interview without recs, but they won't decide on acceptance until everything's in.
