Hi guys!
I am a junior right now in the university. I am interested in going to dental school. My current GPA is 3.30 .I have two C's.. In organic chem1 and organic chem2. SO i am really stressed out about it because I have heard med school and dental school dont accept people with C's .
And I am not a permanent resident. I wont be at the time of applying ..which means I dont have a lot of option to apply..just private schools.
So what are my chances of geting into dental school?

Please helpp..🙁🙁

You didn't say if you are FTD or just fresh from school or colleague. But anyways, permanent resident or not, you can apply to schools. It's not true that you have to apply to private schools because you are not a permanent resident.

what is FTD ?
and Some schools only take applications from permanent resident /or US citizen. Do you know any schools other than private that accept non US resident?

thanks for your help🙂

FTD - foreign trained dentist.
Are you applying straight out of college or after you already have your dental diploma from some other country?

Hey there!
NO i am not FTD.

I am on H4 visa.. meaning I am not a permanent resident yet. I just doing my undergrad at university here in FLorida. So after I graduate, I am planning to apply to dental school.

Then go for it 🙂 Apply to schools. Private or public - it doesn't make a difference. Good luck!:luck:

help/suggestions will be greatly appreciated..
Thanks in advance🙂

@ sunshinelover,

I am in the EXACT same situation as you. I am on H4, doing my second year undergrad in CA. By the time I'm 21, my H4 will expire and I'll have to switch to F1. I also have questions regarding my chances of being accepted into the dental or medical schools here in USA. I know that the dental and medical school admissions are very hard even for US citizens, and for international students like the us, the chances are even less...Let me now what you're up to and we can discuss...
