Is it even possible to get into dental schools with 3~4 C's? My GPA is around 3.5 (sGPA around 3.2). I'm currently studying for DAT and hoping for a very high score.

I had a total of 11 C’s on my transcript, and I have 3 acceptances so far. It is possible, but don’t rack up nearly as many as I did. Your overall GPA is not actually bad, but do your best to get A’s in the sciences from now on. Doing well on the DAT will also be of benefit of course, but I think you’ve got a good chance if you study well. Good luck!

That's great! My grades look awful this semester and I was just so worried. Also, do you know if the dental schools accept C-? My school doesn't use the +/- scale so I don't even know what grades I got.

My school did not use the +/- scale either, so the GPAs should be the same. Just try to get it together this semester and next and be able to explain what has caused your grades to drop slightly.

also depends on your major imo. adcoms will be more lenient if it's a C in a class such as linear algebra or fluid dynamics as opposed to a C in psychology or some other easy class.

I had like 4 C's on my transcript and I still got in. The only thing is that I re-took some of the classes I got a C in to show improvement. For example I got a C in statistics, so I took a harder bio-statistics course a year later and got an A just to prove myself. I did something similar with Physics and General chemistry also.

Only class that I got a C in and didn't re-take was a medical ethics course. (Which I'm sure looked really bad for adcoms, but I just didn't have the heart to sit through that class again.)

I only had 2 C+'s BUT my sgpa was around a 3.19....3 pre dec and 3 post dec interviews and already 2 acceptances. Do well on the DAT (I got a 21) and you will be ok

I had 2 D’s on mine, one of those being in gen chem. I had 2 pre-December interviews, 2 acceptances, and 1 post December interview! It’s all about your story, seeing an upward trend in your grades, and doing really well on the DAT. Stay active and involved in your community to keep a good balance. Everything is possible!

Several C's, 1 F, 1 AF "academic failure", and a bunch of B's. All scars from late teens apathy. Took 60+ credits of BCP, I was a non science major, got a 3.7+ and studied hard for DAT (22AA). 5 acceptances including UCSF and U of Mich. Graduated from my state school with a good rank, now specializing. You can do it.
