My Profile:
DAT: PAT- 20, TS- 20, AA- 19
sGPA: 3.48
Overall GPA: 3.5
A lot of research experience. Good interview.

Your DAT score should be high enough to get you in Howard. You might need to bring your GPA up a little bit. At least get your science GPA a few points above a 3.0. Also make sure you are an URM because thats what they accept. Maybe you are im not sure.

Applicants from Afghanistan, while minorities, are not considered URMs. If I were you, I would work on raising that GPA.

thanks for the info and help. Please excuse me, but what does URM stand for? And I just wanted to add to any confusion that I am a citizen of the U.S and I have been living here since I was a child. I am just from afghanistan. I thought I would be considered a minority since I come from a underserved country.

Underrepresented Minority.

Maybe it should renamed OURM -- Official Underrepresented Minority.

You would not be considered a URM in the eyes of the admissions committee. URM status is confined to Hispanic, African-American, and Native American ethnicities.
