I have always considered being a doctor, but, to help confirm that, for my Year 10 work experiance last year I did work experiance at the legals department in the Council. I have been looking at Medical school websites, now that I am picking my A levels and a lot of the say that it would help a lot if you had work experiance in a hospital. I have missed my chance to do work experiance through the school, so how can I get work experiance now?

Furthermore, when should you start preparing for the B MAT and UKCAT exams. Are you allowed to take them a year early so that you can get the experiance of taking them? I know I still have three years till I should be worrying about this, but, I desperately don't want to be left behind after year 13 without a school to go to.

hi there - you should check out newmediamedicine.co.uk. that site is designed for brits applying to med school whereas this is more for north americans applying to med school.

however, to try and answer your questions; try and organise some work experience in your own time. don't worry that you've not done it in the time allocated by your school. try and do some volunteering wherever you can.
you don't usually do practice runs of BMAT or UKCAT, but there is plenty of info on the above website from people who've taken them in the past. the websites for the specific exams will give example questions.

it's good you're thinking ahead. but get your a-levels out the way, and focus on getting some work experience and/or voluntary work. and check out newmediamedicine.co.uk (med school guide as it's more commonly known).

good luck!
