Hi all,
I was talking to an advisor today about doing my pre-reqs for getting into a physical therapy program and she said that it was hard for internationals to get into DPTs. Do you know anything about this? Are there internationals out there who got into physical therapy programs? I'll appreciate your comments. I am an alien in the U.S., no permanent resident and I wonder if I will be wasting my time and money if I go back to school to do my prereqs for getting into physical therapy if it is impossible to get into for internationals.
Thanks,

Thanks,
1) Go to www.ptcas.org
2) Go to the directory and look for a school you are interested in
3) Scroll all the way, maybe not all the way, but closer to the bottom and there is a section marked "Foreign Applicants and Transcripts"
4) You will see if the school accepts aliens with visas, refugees, etc. You will also see the percentage of foreigners accepted to their program.

So it is not impossible, but does your advisor mean it is difficult because not all programs accept foregners which cuts down on how many schools you can apply to, which makes it more competitive with other foreigners applying to the same schools you can apply to, etc. Well, good luck :luck:
