Any PharmD's care to shed some light on hooking up in pharm school. From what I know cohorts are pretty tight knit. It seems everybody knows each other pretty well. Is hooking up rampant amongst class mates?

I never really tried the quick hook up in house. Seemed like a recipe for disaster. Plus, there was better looking downtown on High Street Friday night.

For serious girlfriend material...that's different. In that case, you want to look in the medical sciences department. Dentistry and medical students work well.

I know that there are a decent number of individuals who are already married or are in steady relationships in my class. With that being said, I imagine it won't be as common; well actually, I think it would be a rare occurrence. I think, at least at your early/mid 20's, that people find the idea of settling down with that special someone to be more appealing than banging a different person every other week. I could very well be mistaken, though.

are you really making a thread about this? There are always hook ups that take place in school, whether undergrad or professional. This would benefit you if you're a guy because the majority of pharmd students are women (my class had about 65% women) and majority of the guys in my class were nerdy.

Marriage is a joke. What was once a sacred institution during our grandparent's years is now a way for women to suck funds from men thanks to a female-biased court. You are absolutely insane if you're a man AND you get married.

I have 2 or 3 girls I like that I can call anytime to crash at their place... We have no expectation it will turn into a monogamous relationship... It's just a hookup and we are enjoying each other company.

At the same time, I am looking for a real quality girl for a long term GF, so I am dating girls until I find what I like... skill in bed, their cooking skills, saver/spender, and their cleanliness need to be screened first for them to be a long term gf/wife... LOL

It seemed to happen more frequently first year. Then people got smart and realized sleeping with classmates might not be a great idea. The relationships that seem to succeed are those where people are dating pharmacy students from other years or where they're dating outside the pharmacy school. I think a dental student would be most pharm students' dream...

I honestly don't know where some of my classmates found the time to eat, sleep, or go to the bathroom, let alone study, if they were really partying (which I'm sure included sex) as much as they said they were.

I made a friend (or so I thought) as a P1, and when we came back in the fall, she clearly wanted nothing to do with me, to the point where she would literally cross the street when she saw me. Never found out what I might have done to her, but regardless, I figured out pretty quickly that she was not someone I would have wanted in my circle of friends. Among other things, she was in a long-distance relationship and openly cheated on him with multiple partners, to the point where she had to drop back a year.

And there was the married guy with a little kid who was paying girls to do some pretty kinky things his wife wouldn't do. 😱 That any woman would have found this guy sexually attractive was a bit of a stretch in itself (he was morbidly obese and butt-ugly on top of it) but as you can imagine, his wife tossed him out when she found out about it. Gee, I wonder why.
