Getting MA in one state, but want to practice in another...

I am at Teachers College-Columbia University in the Ed.M program for psychological counseling.

I want to move to California and would like to practice there in the future.

Should I be moving to Cali after graduating to start supervised hours there and to complete the extra education requirements for the state? Or should I do the supervised hours here and then move?

It seems to me that I should move to Cali once school is done to complete the ed requirements and start the supervision, but I am wondering if it will be hard to get supervised coming from out of state.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

hours transferring into California can be tricky
