getting off nymc waitlist

For those of you who successfully got off the waitlist (last year, this year, whenever) -

Did you do anything in particular such as call or send in update letters? If so, how frequently? Also, does anyone know the approximate size of the list?

Did you call the school and ask them? I'm wondering about the same thing.

I got off the waitlist on 5/12. I had sent LOI every six weeks or so. I had also sent in a new letter of recommendation from my current job. I don't know the size of the list though, and I haven't called the school or anything like that. Good luck!!

I swear this whole waitlist thing has stressed me so much that it has given me severe TMJ and I clench my jaw while I sleep. I'm going to send my massage therapy bills to drex and creigh.
