getting rid of emails

OK, this is just a question to all those people with better computer skills than i have. Every time somebody posts something, i get an email that says that somebody posted. Anybody know how to stop the emails?

Yeah, i had this happen to me....it's annoying. go to User CP at the top, go to Edit Options and there is one question that asks if you want email notification by default. say no to that.
it could also be that you posted a message and checked a box/forgot to check the box that said "email notification" at the bottom.

Everytime you post on a thread you it checks that you want to get an email when someone else posts to the same thread.

Directly below the place where you type the message is the box where you can uncheck the sentence I have copied/pasted below for you.

"""" Email Notification: emails sent to you whenever someone replies. Only registered users are eligible. """

Oh and you can unsubscribe by clicking on the link in your email below the link you follow to the message, or in your user info you can unsubscribe to thre threads there as well.
