Few questions about the field. I looked on some sites but some of the things were inconsistent.

1) What does it take to become an intern as a pharmacists? And do interns get paid?

2) What would be some sample course that are required to become a pharmacists? Physics? Calculus? Anything higher?

3) Estimated how many years would it take to actually get your license? With pharmacy school?

Thanks 8)

You pass Calculus and Physics 1 at a Junior College (the real gunners do this at a state university), then you apply for a license. Should take three semesters max.

Is the intern permit the same in every state? As in, you get it automatically after your P1 year? Just curious....

No. The regulations vary by state. In Illinois, there is no such thing as an intern license. You just get the tech license and as long as the pharmacy records you as a student, you are an intern.

hi, sorry for lurking into your thread, i'm havent been accepted into a program yet, but had some questions, if anyone would be so kind to help. I applied this year, after completing my prereqs. My stats are not great (pharmcas GPA 3.02, PCAT 69) I have a BS in elem ed. To my surprised was granted 2 interviews (out of 3 applied schools). question: Do adcoms consider other things besides GPA, PCAT and pharm experience? What are my chances?
