Apologies for starting a new thread on this; the NYMC application thread is 48 pages long.

What is the best and/or cheapest way to get to NYMC from LaGuardia Airport? I haven't been to New York before so I am unfamiliar with the transportation set-up over there. Specifically, how can I get from LGA to Grand Central Station and then from the station to the area near NYMC?

Thanks so much for any input!

Here's the link for Train & Bus service. http://www.mta.info/

What is not provided is how to get from LGA to GCT. You can do it cheap or you can do it easy. I like easy, but I'm old and rich (haha).

Easy:

New York City Airport Shuttle Bus http://www.nycairporter.com/ You can buy a ticket near baggage claim or from an agent out on the sidewalk. They take credit cards and print your receipt right from their handheld device. The bus drops you on the block just west of Grand Central. (Going back to the airport, the bus stop is a block south and a couple blocks east of Grand Central: 41st Street, between Lexington Ave & 3rd Avenue.) Get the Metro North Harlem line to White Plains or North White Plains and take a taxi to the school.

Cheap:

Bus service (M60-SBS) to the Metro North Harlem-125th Street Station north (this is faster and easier way to travel at low cost to the Metro North Harlem line). Get the Metro North Harlem line to White Plains or North White Plains and take a taxi to the school.

Just to be clear: the train is called "Metro North" and the station is "Harlem-125th Street", Don't go crazy looking for North Harlem...
