Does anyone have experience using a GI Bill to pay for med school? I'm apply to Vet School, and my husband has 2 GI Bills. One from a previous active duty contract and a Select/Reserve one. He is currently not in school, and has plans to transfer his active duty GI Bill to me when he returns from deployment. I was thinking this would be perfect to help pay for vet school, but I'm not sure if it will. And if it does, which is a better option? The traditional or the Post 9/11? Thanks.

You should take a look at va.gov and go through the benefits of either one. The amounts will be based on a number of things that will be hard to give you advice about through a forum like this. As for the basic question, the GI bill can be used for advanced degrees (I used mine for part of med school-the few years that were left after finishing undergrad, then I got deployed and later was able to use the REAP program for my final year (didn't know about it until I saw someone post about it on SDN, and applied for it a few years after graduating-luckily they still paid, if I could remember who it was I would thank them profusely for the extra 8K it got me)
