Feelings about Odze aside...
Released in 2003 so its due for a update? How many GI books are you planning on buying in your career??
And I'm sure what you mean "by disease and not by system-type"?
You mean the way it breaks up liver into multiple chapters vs putting all liver in one?

It's true, a lot of the other books don't have liver and pancreas in the same volume (like Morson and Dawson which is a great book).
The Foundations book I believe has everything in it, but of course it's more concise.

WHO book...and ODZE. Odze makes far more sense that the crappy GI book I used in residency circa late 90s.

You need more data on why grading of dysplasia in Barrett's or UC is even more subjective than they thought in 2003. That, and a paragraph on microsatellite instability and another on sessile serrated adenomas. I think that's it.

By the way, has anyone heard if they are going to print more WHO GI books or come out with a new edition?
They have been hard to get. I'd check at the iarc.fr website, but it apparently is down right now.
Also, here's another vote for Odze. I'm almost done reading it cover to cover. It's great, but that's of course only my 2 cents.

No to both. I think they are doing that on purpose...
I mean eventually there will be a new addition, but not any time soon.
It looks like according to the website some of the older WHO books are being made into online editions (maybe with updates?) fee?
100 annually. Which unless they are making serious updates on a regular basis, seems like a rip off.
From $75 for residents/$100 anyone else, to no resident discount, to $110. To $100 annually...
