GI in San Diego?

Looking for a GI job in San Diego. There's not a ton of online postings. Is the market there saturated?

Also, if anyone knows what the going rate is around there for a new grad..

If you are talking academic then probably saturated because UC San Diego and Scripps are the only main academic centers there and everyone wants to be in SD. I am getting a few sporadic invites for smaller groups in the northern San Diego such as in Encinitas and temecula but nothing else.
