Hey guys,

My fiancee's grandfather (retired doctor) wants to get me a gift for christmas that is medicine related. I already have a stethoscope, otoscope, and ophthalmoscope. Any ideas?

Watch, clothing allowance, nice pen light (I hate the disposable ones) coffee or coffee gift card, pocket medicine, maxwells,

That's all the stuff I use everyday.

external monitor? good quality headphones to listen to lectures? qbank subscription..lol what i want for christmas is a big ass white board and 100 dry erase markers, and maybe a good espresso maker.

oh what about a really comfy chair for studying?

what year are you in? i think all the things i listed are for MS1-MS2s.

Thanks for the ideas, guys. I think he wanted to get me something I can actually use in the hospital. Very thoughtful, but I can't really think of anything. Stuff for studying would be more useful (iPad Mini, Qbank, etc.)

Organdonor has some good ideas. I really like reference books (although I am considering getting them for a tablet) and a watch!

I am in second year. I just bought UWorld and already have FC, white board (good investment) and a Keurig (must have!). Nice chair would be nice

Ask for an ipad mini. Show him all the medical apps used for quick reference.
