anyone have any creative ideas for a gift for my mentor? i really want to get her a meaningful gift to show her my appreciation.

If you are creative, anything you can make is a good start. A small painting, photo, even something you cook.

If not that, then find out what their hobbies or interests are if you don't know already, and work from there.

A boat! Wait... A picture of you on boat you were going to give them but couldn't afford. Of course the picture must be with the boat still parked in the dealer lot up on a trailer. Sorry... I saw your post and this was the second thing that came to mind. A house boat was the first...
