Am I supposed to give my letter of recommendation writing professor my personal statement?
I was planning on giving them just my transcript and resume.

I would give them my personal statement but it has not been finished and refined yet.

just a summary of what you did is enough in my opinion. Make sure to ask your prof if he/she can write a STRONG recommendation letter.

Some profs want it some dont. my profs asked me to send them my ps and cv so they can write stronger letters/know more about me/incorporate it into the lor.
I think itd be best to send it to ur reccomender once its finished. Mine asked for my ps before they begin writing my lor.

I hadn't finished my PS either so I just gave them a word file in which I answered basic interview questions (why dentistry, why not medicine, why dental school x etc)

Do this, it will help u write ur PS aswell

I gave them my personal statement.

I gave them my PS (just a draft, it isn't complete yet) and a resume with relevant dental experiences, volunteer work and activities. I had it ready to hand to them when I went to meet them, and they told me they would have asked for it anyway. So I would give them a draft anyway, because they will usually ask for it. If they're not going to write something generic that is 🙂
