I found only one similar thread on Dental forum. And my situation is a little different.

I had an interview yesterday, during which the interviewer gave me his name card and told me to contact him (best way to reach him is to call his clinic) if I had any questions later.

Do you think it's a good sign?

But cuz it's so late in the season, he told me not to get discouraged if I get waitlisted. And that sometimes, the waitlist moves really fast.

Any opinion on this matter would be highly appreciated.

i got a card from one interviewer and I didn't think much of it.

Good luck!

I actually had that happen a few instances as well. I'm not really sure it means anything, it might just be a common courtesy thing for that person.

It doesn't mean anything. Some interviewers have their cards onhand and some don't.

Thanks for replying, guys. I guess I was reading too much into it then. Am wildly hoping that it's a positive sign.

I give my email out to everyone I interview for them to be able to ask me questions.

Yeah, I ask for a card at then end of each interview so I can remember who to send a thank you card to. This interviewer may have just been anticipating that. I'll bet he was sincere about being able to ask any additional questions, though I would say that would be part of be a courteous interviewer and not special consideration for you in particular.

I've had a bunch of interviewers do that. But one of mine gave me his card and told me he doesn't give it out often, and I took that as a good sign.
