I am curious if any one has used programs that offer to pay for your medical education if you agree to give them X number of years of work after completing your medical education. Is this worthwhile for someone who really has no income? I see a benefit to using a program like this, but to be sucked in for up to four years is hard to grasp at this time. Especially as things are changing regarding deferrment of loans and payback options, I would think this is becoming a popular option.

What are your opinions on it? Has anyone used any of these programs before and what was your experience with it? (Sorry if there is already a thread on this topic, I did not find it).

Thanks
