Giving updates to schools?

Hi everyone,
So I submitted my secondaries around the end of August and beginning of September. Since then, I started a new research position, and also decided to continue a research related leadership activity that I designated as ending a few months ago on my primary. Is this worthwhile for me to let admissions know? If so, is it the norm to call them or email them? Also, in general, do students tend to update schools about new activities even if it is just 1 or 2? Thank you so much for any feedback!

If you haven't accomplished any of those things by age 25 its highly unlikely you will achieve them over the next 25
