glaucoma research fellowship

hello. Im an FMG and finished my ophthalomogy residency a year ago. I plan to do clinical fellowship in glaucoma in the u.s. so i took usmle step 1 and 2. I passed both steps and obtained my ECFMG certificate this month. since the matching happened last december and there are few post-matching vacancies left (posted in SF match), im thinking of doing research fellowship for this year first. my question is: are there any hospital who offers paid research fellowships? i checked out some hospitals who offer research fellowships but those i saw where unpaid ie the fellow will fund the his/her own fellowship.
