Might seem like an elementary question, but I'm well-removed from billing aspects in pathology. 88305 with the -tc modifier = Technical component of 88305. 88305 with the -26 modifier is the professional component of 88305. Does a plain ole 88305 assume that it is the global charge (TC+PC)? Or when you are billing for global fees are you suppose to use both 88305-TC and 88305-26?

Thanks in advance.

The -TC and -26 indicate that the professional and technical components payments should be split. If you omit the modifiers and submit the code 88305, then it is assumed that you are billing globally.
