is glycine acidic or basic?

kpp p.476 : glycine is belong to non polar (instead of acidic amino acid)
P.473 : 1M glycine solution is acidic...

could anyone explain the discrepancy here?

i think the text refers to the R-group which is a non-polar

P.473 : 1M glycine solution is acidic...
here, i think it refers to the c-terminal and n-terminal. when i dissolve glycine in water, it will become acidic, so, i used to adjust the pH when i start to use it... (this is what i do in the lab!!!)
