GMAT for PharmD/MBA

My husband is studying for it right now, but he's going to try to go to school for just his MBA, not pharmacy too. He's taking it at the end of May. I'll let you know how it turns out.

I also might take the GMAT in a few months - how is your husband studying for it? I know some people shell out a lot of money for prep courses, but I've been studying out of a prep book from a bookstore 😛 Is this alright or would I be missing something drastic by not taking a prep course? If I would do a PharmD/MBA I would need a 670 to be "safe" (for USC Marshall) - is this impossible to get on your own? BTW, Kellious, how expensive is it?

You can read all about the test at MBA.com. From that site, "The fee to take the Graduate Management Admission Test® (GMAT®) is U.S. $250 worldwide."

He's been studying out of a prep book too. I've been harassing him to work on his "speed" math, but he hasn't been listening to me. If it's anything like the PCAT, he'll run out of time on the math section.

Last week, I wanted to go to LECOM and get it done in 3 years. Now I want to apply to Kentucky or Maryland for their PharmD/MBA program. I had no idea Kentucky ranks so high. I thought it didn't matter what school you go to, but I talked to a friend of mine today and he said that it matters and you dont want to go to new schools...blah..blah...What you guys think about it?
