For any NYCOM people out there: how possible is it to attend NYCOM, but live in NYC? Do a lot of people do it, or it too much of a hassle?

Is it easier to live in the city during the clinical years?

thanks a bunch

I grew up on Long Island...and knowing how the traffic is..and wouldn't dream of communting from the city to NYCOM...it would be hell.
During the clinical years...you would probably stand a much better chance on finding rotations that would be more in line with living in Manhattan.

I know several people who commute from brooklyn and queens, but not from the city. Traffic out of Manhattan would probably be too crazy. Then again, I do know someone who commutes everyday from uptown, and 1 person from Jersey.
