i just took my first full length practice exam and got an 18 on DAT achiever which i think is horrible

i only has less than 2 weeks left, should i even take the DAT?

i cant postpone it since school starts and i have to fly back there, but i dunno achiever didnt seem THAT hard but it just mauled me

im freaking out

i was planning to take topscore after achiever since i heard it was ezier than achiever, but i dunno

RC and QR mauled me

I didnt know what i was suppose to do, i read the topic sentences of each paragraph and tried to Search and Destroy, but some questions are inference/implied/or exception ones where they just eff me over

anyone got strategies for those?

and for the sciences i just gotta study more i guess

QR is just wtf no time lol

Everywhere I've looked, DAT Achiever is harder than the real thing (it even says this on their website under FAQ). I'm certainly hoping this is the case. Their tests are a little demoralizing right now... I'm taking the real DAT on Tuesday and haven't been getting great scores on the practice. Some say to expect 2-3 more points in each section. That'd be lovely.

I'm not sure if I should even get achiever... I'm getting topscore for sure though. I think I'd benefit more from doing topscore then reviewing a ton opposed to wasting time get pwned by achiever....

i heard achiever PAT is more like the real DAT (keyholes at least) and they are DEF harder than CDP

their TFE's are challenging too

only ezier thing were angles, holepunching, cubes, MAYBE patterns

but i still suck at angles 10 degrees apart and i got problem wrong wtf

Achiever blows... it says its 'harder' but really its questions are way too specific and some of them are found in one line in my 1000 pg biology book. The real DAT is straightfoward, NOT LIKE Achiever. I wish someone would put out another DAT program that is actually similar to the real DATs!!!

is it worth it? I haven't done Topscore yet but was wondering if the extra practice (achiever) would really help me out?
Do they have good explanations for the sciences?

any practice would help
id say if u have the money jus get it
but dont take couple days away from ur test cuz it might ruin ur confidence
work with them sometime before

I just finished my Dat Achiever Test #3 and now I don't want to go in to take the real thing tomorrow. Absolutely demoralizing.

i agree with you ^^^^^ .... if you've got the time, like a lot of time, 3 months before your exam, maybe, maybe, i would suggest ordering... but i've caught i few errors in the solutions for the sciences. checked it up with my bio book and there it was, 2 mistakes. and because its very specific and detailed questions, i don't think it's very helpful to use it as a learning resource.

Achiever is ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!!!

The day before my DAT I took the achiever exam #3 and got:

Chem 15
Biol 19
Organic 19
Pat 17

on the real DAT I got:

Organic 26
Biol 26
Chem 21
Pat 20

The achiever is NOTHING like the DAT. I ended up delaying the exam because I had failed the first two achiever tests, when I should have just written it. It was a complete waste of money.
