godfrey RC practice tests

Hi everyone, I recently bought this software which has 10 RC tests, I've done the first 2 so far and let me tell you... They are NOT kidding when they say their tests are hard...

I've done the first 2 so far, I got 16 in both tests but the articles are SUPER long... The first test the articles were 2000, 2500, and 1400 words long.. I would have to guess that 1/2 are more "underestandin based" rather than just finding the answer..

So my first review of this product is that its good practice, but I have no idea how relevant it is to the real test

I'll post again when I take exam the 5th or 6th exam

For biology practice material, harder doesn't really mean its better. There is such as thing as TOO hard, since the DAT bio is so straightforward and focuses more on the big picture. For RC though, there is no such thing as TOO hard, and I think the harder the practice material, the better. If you challenge yourself on RC now, it'll only prepare you that much more for the real thing. I got a 25 on the real RC.

This is the site for godfrey, but they are only RC... No QR

For QR I'm using destoyer math, not DAT destroyer alone, I'm talkin about the other one with 10 practice QR tests

Forgot to update this.

So I took my DAT on October 29th, I got a 19 in RC.

To be honest, I did the first 6 godfrey RC tests, I never scored higher than 17, in fact, most of my scores ranged from 14 to 16 lol, it was sad and demoralizing to the point where I stopped doing them and just went into the DAT and my mentality was to "wing it".

The godfrey passages are nightmarishly long, 3 passages, one will be around 1800 words, other around 2000, and 3rd around 2500-3000 words. Their questions are styled are very much like the DAT questions (this is pretty important), but THEY ARE HARDER because the answer choices are like this
a) heartburn
b) stomach pain
c) internal bleeding
d) a and b
e) a and b and c

I don't know if it prepared me for the DAT RC, it REALLY threw off my timing, cause there is no way in hell ur going to read a 2500 word passage and answer 16-18 questions in ONLY 20 minutes, no way, or at least I can't, I used to take a good 30-32 minutes to finish it. So their tests REALLY threw off my timing. During the real DAT, you don't wanna put urself in the mindset of spending more than 20 to 22 minutes per passage.

My suggestion is, buy their product ONLY to practice reading and answer, DON'T TIME YOUR SELF LIKE I DID (well you have no choice, the program is stupidly written, as soon as you hit "start", it starts the timer), but spend a good 30 to 35 minutes on each article, don't worry too much about ur final score, cause remember, theyr too long to be scored the same way as the DAT. When the timer runs, your gonna be like on the verge of starting article 3, and the test will end automatically when 60 minutes are up, what you do at this point, right away restart the test from begining and simply jump to article 3 and do it
