Hello All,

I have been browsing this forum for awhile but just decided to post today.
I was on track to pharmacy school but then marriage happened and baby happened (8 months old)
So now I want to start my pharmacy again. I have a pharm tech certificate and worked for a couple of months in the pharmacy where I actually learned ALOT and also realized for sure I want to do pharm.
Now, the issue is getting into pharm school and studying for the pcat with an 8 month old.

Any tips, experiences, referrals of what to study from- (colins, crack the pcat?) I think an online study program would be better. I know I wont be able to give as much time as I could before baby but I will try my best. I just need some encouragement to start again. I am currently doing the CE to keep my pharm tech certificate so once i get that over with then I will look into programs to study from...

Anything? How was it studying with kids and husband?

Just finished the PCAT. I did well but not as well as I have hoped. Chemistry was so hard. They definitely made chem harder. Collins chem ONLY partially helped. It was a 1/4 different test altogether in chem. They introduced new items. I had 99 chem last time and 94 now. But I felt I had 84-89-90 chem. This sucks. LAST time I breezed thru Chem laughing. This time I had to think hard and frown. Man I had only 7:58 minutes left over.

I want give my Collins free. Honestly, the pcat is changing. You need to buy new materials to help you. I personally asked Collin if I Needed to buy 2015 PCAT prep. he said 2014 is good enough. just buy new updates. but the updates only partially helped. I.E. In his chem packets, I did all the prac tests 3-4 times, test 1-10. But real test, I only saw questions similar to the updates from Collins. Not from his practice tests. So you need to learn test materials. I would buy new stuff.

His new material has 18 chem practice tests! So how did you do overall?

OHHH. did u buy the 2016 PCAT PREP?

93% BUT dude I saw u have a 92%. I was suppose to score higher than you like 99% or 98% since I had 87% last time and u just studied it, while i studied it for 6 months. but o well, congratulations! to you!!!! I didn't do well cause I had 10 tests, I see now 🙁 o well im happy in one point, that I could see where my true abilities lie. Middle of the test I asked myself what test is this in the chem portion. It felt partially like physics and bio

dang u good , I had 32... I was sure I had 54 but that passage on twin studies was hard.

oh gosh i had one about combination of law and phylosophy🙂 didnt get any of it lol
