going Elec. Engineering before Med School

Hello all,

I am 23, and want to explore Engineering (and travel) for a few years before considering applying to Medical School at ~28-29 years old (if I don't start a family, or end up loving engineering). It's a 2 year reputable Masters program starting next week. Can get 3 years of solid employment before then 🙂

Reasons: competing interest (i love medicine, but i also love circuits), and burnout from premed

Thoughts?

It seems weird, so I really just want a second opinion.

Do what makes you happy. Don’t go through life thinking I should have done this or that instead. Med Schools will be around when/if you decide to switch paths. Good luck.
