Going into D school while in a relationship

I know this is sort of unrelated to the academia involved in dental school but I was wondering about this grim question. How many out there have went into dental school while in a relationship and then had that relationship end due to the high demands of dental school that take away most of the time to see your significant other?

It was more the distance than the credit load though, if I do say so myself.

i am in michigan my girlfriend is in florida, in our third year away. it is a lot of work and we spend a lot of money seeing each other for only a few days at a time, but it is worth it. it takes a little bit of understanding and flexibility.
