Going tanning to qualify as a URM (Mexican)?

So I am white. However, I've had people tell me I look Hispanic. My only problem is that I am too light to be Hispanic. I'm thinking of listing myself as Mexican and if i get invited for interviews, I would go to a tanning booth before hand. I've been thinking about this for a few days and am not sure if i should do it. Any help would be great

I think this is a great idea.

It's a terrible idea for you personally, but your experience would serve as a phenomenal cautionary tale and be highly amusing for the rest of us.

I got a better idea. Paint your skin black before the interview. List yourself as african american

That might needs lots of explaining when your last name is McMurphy. Your mother's name is Sally Jane Smith and your dad's name is Sean Owen. Haven't you read enough of those stories about someone who has tried to hide something (a Harvard diploma for instance) and gets caught? Seems like it might be easy, but don't be tempted Eve.

I had a friend that is white as a snowflake put down Hispanic because her mother is 1/4 Hispanic. She got into lots of great schools with scholarships too. Didn't speak a word of Spanish either. Worked out for her

Because all Hispanics are tan. Make sure you grow out your facial hair and wear traditional Mariachi uniform. Tell them your great grandad was German, hence your last name and you'll be good to go. Oh make sure you bring them some chips and salsa with guacamole to get on their good side.

Be sure to wear coordinate the colors you're wearing to the colors of mexican flag as well.
