I've heard from a number of upperclassmen that doing a Qbank while you go through MS2 is clutch to getting a headstart on test prep. One of my advisors even said recently this has become more common of a phenomenon. Has anyone done this, and can they say whether it was worth it, and which qbank they used? I'm more inclined to start off with UWorld, as I will probably forget the system based questions after 6 months when I do summer prep.
Some people say use Kaplan first, then UWorld. However, I've heard Kaplan psych's you out given the laborious details over minor things. Do I really need to do a different one than UW first, and is there is another qbank (eg, First Aid's USMLERx, etc.) that is almost as good as UW? I'm viscerally against giving Kaplan any more money.
