gold standard too easy?

is it just me or is the gold standard practice exams too easy compared to the real thing? Is there a catch?🙄

I agree, at least for the science sections. Scored about the same on gs verbal as I do on aamc, but still averaged about 4 points less on gold standard cbts compared to the aamc tests I have taken.

i think the biological science for gold standard is really hard... some of those questions are ridiculous and require you to make some really far out implications.

example:

one question asks about certain bacteria that grow on teeth and what type they are and the passage gives no clues about this.

the answer is facultative anaerobe. Why? Because when you close your teeth the bacteria doesn't get any oxygen, but when you open it, it does.

I mean who could have made that connection???

I thought its VR is much easier than EK or the AAMC. The PS is about the same.
