Good Accelerated Programs?

Do any of you know which 3 year programs are worth while? I've read a lot of anti-LECOM and anti-MCPHS and I was hoping for some encouragement regarding other accelerated PharmD's.

go visit the schools and pick which one you like. Don't let what someone says over the internet influence your decision. Almost every time someone gets on the internet and complains heavily about a school, they are trying to blame their own faults and mishaps on the school so they feel better. For every one person that complains about a school, there are 10 that praise it. Why would be people get on the internet to praise a school? thats less likely to happen. I guess bad mouthing a school helps them sleep at night. I have friends who attend LECOM and ones that attend MCPHS. They all love their respective schools. Who are you going to trust more...someone who actually attends the school...or some angry hormone crazed teenager who gets on the internet and complains about a school because they didn't get accepted or whatever

Look into South University, in Savannah, GA.
3 year program. 15 minutes from the beach.
Beautiful town, etc.

Albany College of Pharmacy also has a three year program, but I believe you need a bachelors or almost a bachelors to apply to it. If this applies to you I would check it out b/c academically it's supposed to be very good and cheap only about $60,000 total for 3 years www.acp.edu

I worked with a pharmacist who was trained by UOP. She was very well trained. I was too apprehensive to apply to a 3 year program because you don't get summers off. I need that time, but if you can do it then best of luck!

I just checked out their website. Looks cool, but am I reading this correctly? Do they not accept any grades lower than a B in any class. OUCH. I'm out of the running already.

I don't think that's true, but you do need to have pretty good stats. I know for Chemistry you should pretty much have all A's if you get a lower grade in a bio or math it's not as bad as getting lower grades in chem. The thing that's great about Albany is that they're not interested in the PCAT so if you're not good at standardized tests it's a bonus.
