Hey,

I'm having a hard time putting all the details for immunology. Does anyone recommend any websites that have good animations? Thanks!

I second that request.

if you can get your hands on the CD that comes with the Janeway book, it's got some good animations. good luck!

just remember:
B cells = jerry seinfeld (picky, only pick up stuff they recognize)
macrophages = george costanza (will eat anything)
dendritic cells = kramer (hairbrained scheme to get voluntarily infected just for the sake of presenting to CD8 cells)

our professor was a big seinfeld fan :)

also:
MHC I = NYC (anal, picky, peptide has to fit exactly right in the groove, if you look at it the wrong way you'll get killed by a cytotoxic T cell)
MHC II = California (laid back, cool molecule, fits a lot of peptides, groove is open on the sides, so you can just move the friggin' peptide over a little to make it fit...)

i miss immuno!
