Hey guys,

I was hoping one of you could recommend a good book to use to review for microvascular flap cases? It's a lot of what goes on at the program I'm at right now, and Grabb+Smith doesn't go into much detail about it. I've been using Fu-Chan Wei's book and it's pretty good, but I really have nothing else to compare it to.

Thanks!

Atlas of Microvascular Surgery - Berisch Strauch

IMHO this is the best text to prepare for a flap case. The book has clear descriptions, great illustrations, and includes only information that you need to know.

Thanks everyone. I've seen both in the library, so I'll check them out!

I like Grabb's Flap Atlas (or Encyclopedia). Three volumes of decent pictures, but more importantly, great step-by-step descriptions on how to raise a whole bunch of flaps. I found it more useful than Mathes & Nahai (which tells you a lot about the flap, but doesn't give much info about how to raise it). Strauch's book is good, but a bit more limited.
