for medical students not planning on going into radiology? I'm not looking for a comprehensive textbook, rather a primer of sorts that covers the basics and would be useful for the wards...

Hi, I am pre-rad 4th year med student and wish I had bought a copy of Squire's Fundamentals of Radiology sooner. It's so easy to read, but also in depth (but not too in depth).

If your radiology rotation is only 2 weeks this is too much. But if you're driven and you understand the value of having a good foundation in radiology (regardless of your future specialty), then you'll find this book useful not only for success in clinical years but also for your residency.

Learning Radiology >> Squire's, 'nuff said.

Learning Radiology is the way to go for you. Squires is way too in depth for someone not going into rads. As a matter of fact, just go to learningradiology.com, it has a lot of the stuff in the physical book and is a great resource.
