I recently found out I failed Step II CS in CIS- not sure what I did wrong, actually. Otherwise, I'm a pretty good candidate- no other red flags, Step 1 of 246, Honors in EM, Surgery, OB, Family, Neuro, and Peds clinicals, HP in everything else, great letters, presented a poster at acep, etc.
I was just wondering- will this be a huge mark against me, or do most EM PDs not see this as a big deal? I'll obviously state how I accepted the failure, improved on my performance, and eventually passed. However, should I release the info of the failure after I get a passing score and risk getting screened out of interviews, or right away and use it as a learning experience during interviews?
