good combination of schools?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Do you have any public MD schools in your state? if so, I'd try those as well and save on tuition. Suggest not trying for OOS public schools except for those surrounding your home state. Your list otherwise looks fine. Good luck!

Pretty typical premed ECs with strong commitment + leadership

I have 34 med schools and am trying to narrow it down to around 16~18 medical schools. Does this look like a good range of applications?

What do the little arrows mean, is that what you're thinking of narrowing it down to? If that's the case, I would say you are applying way too top heavy especially with your "typical pre-med ECs." UWashington, UMDNJ, and UC Davis are going to pretty much hopeless as an OOSer.
