I think you have to determine what is the most important for you... things to look at: 1. Fellowship match/job opportunities 2. Learning experience 3. Quality of life.
1. LIJ-good fellowship match, good learning experience with excellent faculty, smaller class, but rotation becoming more impatient and floor based...
2. Northshore-Private practice heaven, less autonomy, good fellowship match...
3. Beth Isreal-well rounded, dont know about their graduates, fellowships in house small
4. Lenox Hill: laid back residency with good quality of life... cardio takes in house (3/4), prime location
5. St. Lukes-large class thus competition for fellowship in house is rough... get to moonlight to supplement income as a resident...
All of them lack research opportunities.. one has to work really hard to prep their resume for fellowship application. Hope this helps!
