Good interview shoes

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
They look good, but you should definitely choose comfortable shoes. If your feet are uncomfortable all day long every day you interview, it could put a real damper on things. I suggest wearing flip flops or slippers.

Good choice. I have bostonians and I love them. Glad you didn't go with wingtips...

I got these Bostonians from Macy's on sale, they rock.

Err, the BLACK ones, right?

I was actually thinking the ones with 7 inch platforms and the goldfish tank 😀 😀

I've found that bostonians take a while to break in. When you get nice shoes, they should feel like you're walking on pillows. If you go to Nordstrom Rack, you should be able to land a great pair of kenneth coles or something for under $70.

Well, you do seem a bit vertically challenged

I bought an expensive pair of black eccos. That might not sound like a formal enough choice, but they went very well with the suit i bought (had the suit in the store to compare).
Plus the eccos are very comfortable.

This is sad.

At this rate, you'll someday be asking a nurse how to put in a foley...in your 3rd year of residency. Good luck.

Don't buy shoes off the internet. Go into the store and try them before you buy them.

Asking for advice on fashion is "sad"? 😕 😕

coming across as pompous ass is much sadder in my opinion

I recommend Kenneth Cole's shoes. I have a pair and I get compliments on them all them time. They are made in Italy and look like a pair of Gucci's, but cost a lot less.

its better that Cerb ask than go on QueerEye.

I second the Kenneth Cole's, square toe and comfortable, all the girls will go wild...

I don't like kenneth cole. They aren't exactly shoe specialists, and make a wide variety of medium grade products. They can be found at medium grade stores like Macy's, and if you really like it, there are kenneth cole stores in most big cities.

Yeah you gotta go with the square toe. Very sexy.

Kenneth Cole stores have the best selection. But you gotta find an upscale mall .

Kenneth Cole shoes will look stupid on a suit. Believe me.

Get something more normal looking. Wherever you buy your suit at, they will typically have a collection of shoes as well. They can help you find a good pair.

Haha, kenneth cole and upscale don't belong in the same sentence.

I wouldn't go that far. Like them or not, they are pretty costly shoes.

Then again, maybe you spend more money on this stuff than I do. Damn metrosexuals.

If Northpark in Dallas isn't upscale, I don't know what is.

And you can't find Kenneth Cole at any less upscale malls in your area?

Yeah, but I'm just saying Kenneth Cole isn't like Skechers or anything.

Well, if sketchers sold dress shoes, I'd get those. Kenneth Cole isn't Sketchers, but it isn't Armani Collezioni either, I really would recommend some other brand of shoe. I have quite a few Kenneth Cole products and I'd rate them of marginally acceptable quality.

Sketchers do sell dress shoes, but there are a lot that are not suit/interview material. Kenneth Coles are nice and you can find them at Macys, Foleys, and other department stores. I don't think it matters where you buy your shoes from if it's an upscale or a "downscale" store. It's about budget and you can always find something nice for less. Plus what interviewer is going to give a **** where you bought them or how much they were. I would go to the store, find what shoes you like, try them on with socks that you'll be wearing to the interview. Hell, you might even want to take along a pair of charcoal dress pants to make sure they look good with your suit. But when you find a pair you like make sure you spend at least 10 mins in them, walking around, b/c I've found that shoes have two personalities. Then find them where they sell them at a discount...ie. online. Unless if you're like me and just can't wait to take them home. 🙂 I love shoes 😍

Seriously, all yall need is a nice pair of boots... I recommend Lucchese. They go well with anything. Suits, slacks, or wranglers. They are money and you will be money.

FYI - it will set you apart, and that is how we get into the schools we want to get into.

Good idea, fellow member of the great republic of Texas, but I would go with Tony Lama full quill ostrich boots. Texas Pimp!
