Cynical and depressed makes it take longer! Its kind of like pushing the button to walk across the street a million times--it doesn't make the light change any faster.

I'm in... got a rejection reversed today so that I am still in the running for an interview. Also, I called one school to ask about why I hadn't heard yet, and was delighted to find out that my file hasn't been reviewed-- which at least means that it's not yet been rejected, and the delay in receiving news is not because of a rejection. That's always good to know. So here we are, 2 hours into the week, and things are looking pretty good. (At the same time, part of me feels like these are not hugely positive signs, and I am grasping at straws for good news, but that's the cynical side of me that I am determined to banish.)

Wow, I didn't even get a chance to post here yet and I found out I got accepted to UConn!! I just interviewed on the 10th, which makes it even more surprising!! I had a feeling this week would bring news, I'm just glad it's been the good variety thus far (except for that waitlist from Stony Brook that I also got, but I didn't like them that much anyway!)

I got a stony brook and cincinnatti interview within a few days of each other! i didnt think i would get any invites since im a NY august mcater with a 29 and a 3.65...completely average. PLUS i submitted most of these around the middle-end of october. There is hope! i just hope that i can get an accetance and if not? well thats the way it is and im already planning on reapplying!

I got a flood of stuff the beginning of November (mostly rejections), and haven't heard much for the rest of the month. It seemed like alot of people were posting their interviews and stuff the beginning of the month too, but that might have just been my perception, since I was being rejected. 😀 I'm looking forward to the next couple of weeks. I think I might hear something (good or bad) soon.
