I have a 3.85 cGPA / 3.6 sGPA and have been studying for the DAT for a long period of time and have been making close to 22 on practice exams. I hope to be solid number wise by the time I apply this summer.

The problem is that I didn't really join any organizations or do much in terms of leadership these last three years. I mostly worked out and ran (quite seriously for about 2-3 hours a day.. although I'm certainly not a bodybuilder) and went to pray at the mosque. I pretty much spent my weekends with my friends and family.

Also, I didn't really get to know any of my science professors a;though I have a really good recommendation from one of my non-science professors.

P.S. I still have some prerequisites left (ochem2, physics 1 and 2, biochem and microbio)

How bad will this hurt me? I'm thinking of graduating a year later so that I can join, gain some leadership positions, get more hours of shadowing (only 15 so far) and perhaps secure a really high score on the DAT?

Thanks

Your just fine...nothing's more eye catching to adcom's then gpa/DAT...adding a couple activities doesn't hurt I'm telling u it only weighs for like 5% of your app at most schools...GL

Dentalworks, I'm serious. I would be blessed to be endowed with your great opinion on this matter...

You will be fine. Adding a few activities might be good, though. Since you have some science classes left, maybe get to know those professors well so you can get some good recommendations.
