Hey SDN,
Long time reader, infrequent poster.
Prior active military (0311, the dragon commercial got me), currently licensed and working NRP (EMS only, no interfacility experience), and tying up the last few semesters in undergrad.
I got cocky this semester and didn't put enough horsepower into Organic II like an idiot, so I'll (most likely, unless I crush the ACS) have my first C in undergrad. First semester was an 'A', but obviously the material wasn't as heavy. Science GPA is loosely calculated 3.5, UGrad so far 3.7. I was planning on taking the MCAT this year, but I pushed to next year based on my below question.
From personal experience, was an undergrad biochem series particularly useful for MCAT success? I have to take it for my minor anyway, but the advisor at my university said a good prep course with having taken the year OChem was plenty for the MCAT, which would allow me to take it this year while it is still fresh in my mind.
Thoughts?
Thanks!
