I was just wondering if anyone had any good recommendations for Ophtho textbooks and/or other learning tools. I'm a 3rd year just starting to learn about the field.

The books I've got so far I really love: "AAO Ophthalmology Primer for Medical Students" and "Fundamentals of Ophthalmology, a Programmed Text." Both are great. The primer is a good intro text and Fundamentals is a flash card style book (a la Surgical Recall) that seems great for really getting the basics down.

Any suggestions about where to go from there would be very appreciated.

Thanks!

I think that the yellow Vaughan & Asbury text is excellent. It's at an appropriate level for a med student interested in ophthalmology.
