I have a rather complicated relationship with one of my professors:

I'e taken her class as a student and recieved an A in it, TA'ed for one of her courses, and also currently work in her laboratory as a research assistant. (2 years)

I think in my letter, she talks about all 3 areas, and probably doesnt focus solely on any one particular way in which she knows me. Do you think this would be helpful to my application, or would it be detrimental because it would not provide the amount of depth a "science faculty only" or a "research supervisor only" letter would privde?

it'll be good because she can describe you in more than one facet and has a better handle on you as an entire person, instead of just from the classroom standpoint.

Ditto to cliff....it's someone that knows you in more ways than one! ;)
