Good postbac premed program in NYC area?

I could not afford to attend the NYU or Columbia post-bacc programs so I went to a CUNY one because it was about 1/5 of the cost. I also had a bad vibe when I went to the Columbia info session. I did well in classes and on the MCAT and had no problems getting into med school. No regrets on my non-decision.

I've been looking into this issue the past few months and I've found that while every program has small advantages and disadvantages, for me on balance the CUNY public programs are generally as good as the private ones in NYC, and definitely worth it once you take into account the huge savings, which you can put away toward a year of medical school. Think of it as getting a scholarship to one year of medical school.

seconding anything other than Columbia post-bac. Very aggressive students and unpleasant environment. Hunter is excellent, besides class registration issues (but if you're on top of your stuff you shouldn't have problems getting into classes you need).
