Good premed courses to take aside from the basic sciences?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Since you are a bio major, I am guessing genetics is a requirement anyway. Other than that I'd recommend taking physiology. From what I've heard it really helps in MCAT.

Biochem, biochem helps alot for the MCAT and it is recommended for many medical school pre reqs. Also if you do well in that class medical schools look very favorably at it and use it to gauge your performance in medical school since you have to take it again. Plus it is very interesting.

Genetics
A+P (mostly the physiology)
Cell biology
Statistics
Microbiology
Biochemistry
Medical ethics (may help for ethics questions during interviews)

Going through the EK Biology book, I can see how some basic pathophysiology would help out a little bit, but maybe that's just me.

Physiology helped me out the most. I would take that if you can.

so it's looking like good ol' A&P is my best bet. thanks guys
